Mariah Carey can’t wait to find a husband and start her own family. The singer, who prefers to tie the knot before having babies, says "If I were to have a child, I would want to be married with a stable family environment. Not to say that's how everyone has to do it but it's the way I want to do things. "My parents divorced when I was young and I'm not saying it was unstable but it's not ideal either." Speaking bout her romantic affaires, Mariah answered, I don't know how to answer that." In addition, the 37-year-old star advised troubled celebrities like Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan to look into religion to find alignment. “If you're not spiritually centred you're kind of back and forth. But you know, not everybody is at that point, and maybe some people have to reel themselves in to get to that point," said Mariah.
Mariah has no idea how many bathrooms her NY’s home has - 2007-10-16
Mariah Carey’s new apartment is so large that she does not know how many toilets she has. In the new issue of Glamour magazine, the songstress talked about her 12,000 square foot triplex in the exclusive Tribeca district and when asked about the restrooms, she replied, “I don’t know! Do you really want me to try and think about it?” She only remembers she has one bathroom dedicated to Hello Kitty, "I've liked Hello Kitty since I was little." Talking about how she dealt with fame in her beginning, she said, "I wouldn't want to speak to those people specifically, but I would say you need to be very centered, and spiritually know where you're at, all the time. Don't be obsessed with what people are writing or saying. Live your life for you. My lifestyle has changed since making it as a singer. It's not a financial struggle, but I'm still struggling in a lot of ways."
Mariah earns her diva label with her own right - 2007-09-19
Mariah Carey showed the other side of being a diva, appearing in a ball gown in the studio recently. Black-Eyed Peas star Will.i.am was in the studio when Mariah arrived dressed in that cool style. "Mariah was cool. She came into the studio wearing a big ball gown. She was like: `I'm so sorry! I know everybody thinks I'm a diva, but I'm wearing this because I've just come from a party and I didn't want to go home and change.'"She's a real diva in her own right, but she is real cool," The 'My Humps' star said.
Carey’s manager claims she owes him money - 2007-09-06
Mariah Carey’s former manager has filed a lawsuit against the singer, claiming she owes him money. Blair was employed as the president of Carey's Monar C Entertainment enterprise and he finished the contract in 2007 once she released her hitting return album ‘The Emancipation of Mimi’. An insider talks with the New York Daily News, "Jerry stood by Mariah through her breakdown (in 2001). He believed in her when other people lost faith. "(After the success of Mimi) she wanted to distance herself from anybody who saw her in those dark times." Blair says Carey owes him a percentage of her record and tour profits. "She hasn't paid him in two years. He had to call in lawyers," adds the source. Blair is currently working with is Carey's former husband Tommy Mottola at Casablanca Records label.
